nice hotel, excellent hosts

We stayed in Perl as it was close to the Mosel. The rooms were good, and the hotel was run by a family. We had one dinner there which was very good and good service. Breakfast was good as well. We walked around the town and found a park with beautiful flower gardens. Visits to local wineries was not possible as it was harvest time so we drove into France and Luxembourg. Interesting scenery. Lots and lots of vineyards.

Infested with bed bugs!

There were a lot of bed bugs in room number 11. Unfortunately, we didn't notice this in the evening. During the night, the two travelers were each bitten 30+ times!!!
Since the bed bugs bite around 3 times, you can work out how big the plague is!
A negative review about the bed bugs was already from a traveler in July 2023, so nothing was done!!!

Great service!!

Very welcoming & very pleasant service at the restaurant. I go every time I go for a walk around Moselle 3-countries/Borders. Absolutely recommend if you're in town or passing by. The menu is decent & reasonably priced. Drinks aren't expensive at all - a joy! People around are friendly & would say Hallo & talk a little too.

Good hotel and restaurant in the centre of this Mosel town

The town of Perl is just inside the German border with Luxembourg. There is a railway station down by the river Mosel but that is about a 20 minute walk from the town centre. The hotel is positioned right in the centre and has its own car parking in front. Inside one can see photographs of how it has looked over the years.
We had a good size room with small but good bathroom. Some rooms are on the second floor and access by the stairs is necessary as there is no lift. We looked out on the side street and it was quiet and we had an excellent night's sleep.
We had our dinner in the restaurant and it was excellent. There is a regular menu plus there are theme menus for each month and one can mix and match. There is a fair selection of wine available and we had open wine which starts around 16 euros a litre. Good value and quality.
This was our second visit to this hotel and we look forward to returning.

Nice hotel in the hills

We stop in this hotel during a bike trip on the Mosel. The hotel is not far from the Mosel but you have to climb a little to reach it. The hotel has a space for bicycles. The personnel is kind, speaks basic English and good French. Good breakfast in the morning. The hotel has a restaurant annexed with a good value for price.
