Superb rustic B&B on Malta's little sister
Situated in an old mill and sat on top the hill looking out towards the east which gives amazing sunrises if you have a view.
Nothing is too much trouble for the hosts (Joachim and Bettina) and you're made to feel welcome right from the start.
Bettina is mainly the one who looks after this site as Joachim deals with the other place they own that is also a B&B.
The breakfasts are as you want them with a wide choice to choose from. For me personally, a selection of fruit, cheese and meats along with coffee and some of the best scrambled egg I've ever tasted!!
As for the room, I had a single person's room but it was equipped with a very comfortable double bed.
A walk in shower is provided en suite.
Also in the room is Air conditioning, a ceiling fan, tea and coffee facilities, a fridge which is stocked with wine and beer (the consumption of which is paid for by the guest), wardrobe and a chest of drawers.
A sink with mirror is also installed.
The room itself is rustically decorated revealing the sand stone that the building is made of along with exposed wooden beams on the ceiling.
A balcony is attached with an opening door to allow that warm Maltese air to flow in.
Although it's hit outside (25 degrees) the room was always cool.
The road outside is fairly busy all day long with buses, cars and quad bike tours but it doesn't distract from the serenity of the area.
A convenient Bus stop is literally outside to take you to either Marsalforn or the Ferry terminal at Mgarr (Bus 322).
Currently the 310 also stops there enough route to Victoria but it's on a temporary diversion due to roadworks.
Overall, I'd rather this B&B quite highly. It fulfilled my expectations and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
Oh, nearly forgot, there is also a small swimming pool at your disposal.
Plus plenty of leaflets for ideas on things to do. Anything else then Bettina and Joachim are knowledgeable on the island and can give you ideas for days out.
