Great stay! Top!!!

Riad super quiet and very nice. Located slightly outside Marrakech (10 minutes from the square on foot, it's really top) but in lighted alleys and a very reassuring area.
The rooms are very nice, the rooftop pool is super nice, the atmosphere is quiet and relaxing.
The breakfast is super good and we recommend homemade couscous, it is the best ever eaten all stay (and all my life)
The owner is super nice
We were with family with children.
We will be back!!
Thank you very much.

Nice experience

Riad very well located in a quiet area with views of the Mamounia gardens. The room on the terrace is very nice and very nicely decorated. The whole Riad is arranged with good taste. Very welcome from the owner who facilitated the arrival of our children. The staff is kind and available and offers a very hearty traditional breakfast. I recommend.

April 2024 Marrakech family visit staying in a Riad.

This was our first time in a Riad and also Morocco. We chose the Riad as we prefer the smaller more intimate 'hotels' when taking trips.
The Riad is run by a local man called Youssef who will do anything he can to help you enjoy your stay. The rest of the team consists of 2 local ladies who keep the place spotlessly clean and tidy and prepare the breakfasts.
The location of the Riad on arrival is down a couple of typical Moroccan streets and initially is very hard to find, especially if you arrive at night. Advice here is to ask your taxi driver (from the airport) to call the Riad in advance of arrival and ask Youssef to meet you which he is very happy to do.
The Riads bedrooms are well kitted out with, TV, safe, air-conditioning and very good shower facilities (shampoo, body soaps & hairdryer all in the room). Towels are replaced daily if you leave them on the bathroom floor and the room and bed is also cleaned and made daily. On the roof (where our room was located) you'll find a very intimate and quiet area for eating should you wish along with a dip pool with sunbeds and parasols (no need to reserve!).
On the minus side, and I'm being a tad picky, should you book the Standard King-size room (the one on the roof) you will need to make sure you personally tie back the awning outside the room or you'll find it impossible to sleep as the breeze/wind blows it around making awful noises!
The Riad provides WiFi (which is great for those of us who need it) which works adequately in the downstairs lounge area and bedrooms, however please note there is no internet available by the dip pool sunbathing area.
There is a coffee making machine in the lounge area (please note you'll get changed 20 dirhams per cup. Also water is offered and you get the impression its free however you will get charged.
Taxis are the way to get around Marrakech and Youssef is more than happy to arrange these for you. Please take note though that they are very expensive and we try to charge you more than you agreed! The best bet is to download the app - I Drive and book through these. Basically they're like Uber but incredibly cheap! Don't panic here though thinking cheap means a dreadful car because in reality the cars were better than the regular taxis!
That just about sums up the stay as far as the Riad is concerned and getting to and from the airport etc.
Marrakech itself in the Medina area, unfortunately is very dirty and full of cheap fake goods shops and unlicensed tour guides who will pester you. You obviously won't go to Marrakech without wanting to explore the Medina so it is advisable to book a licenced guide.
While on our visit we engaged with Hicham (Marrakech Behind The Walls - Tel: +212707078191 or you'll find him on Instagram: marrakech_behind_the_walls). Hicham has a wealth of knowledge and contacts of Marrakech being born, raised and educated there and speaks perfect English. As a registered guide he will show you all around the Medina, introduce you to some working locals, get you some street food and take the costs out of your tour price. The tour cost under €20 euros pp and lasts over 3 hours.
The other end of Marrakech, known as Gueliz, is where you'll find all the designer shops and much better quality restaurants. Incredibly, these restaurants are cheaper than what they charge the tourists in the Medina area of the city. It is highly recommended that you eat mists nights in the area.
Lastly, especially if you have young children with you or maybe older relatives, please note that the driving in Marrakech is absolutely mental! ... You're lucky if they stop at red lights (so don't take your eyes off the road when crossing. The city is besieged with small motorcycles and they are everywhere. On the paths, in the squares around the Medina and they have the right to ride down all the very small streets. The rule of safety here is you always stay to your right!
Should you wish to travel for an hour on the horse driven carriages then there is no set price I can give you here but always negotiate around 60% of what they're asking.
I hope this has and will be useful to you when you visit Marrakech and I hope you have a wonderful experience.

Great stay in Marrakech

Great stay, we were received on the main street by Youssef that showed us the way to the Riad. Alone, maybe it would have been hard to find, but once you know, it is ok and very well located. From the beautiful decorated terrace with a small pool you have view to a very relaxing garden on your left.
The rooms and the riad look recently renewed, very well decorated and comfortable, small and calm. Super friendly staff.
We had breakfast (included in the booking price), which was tasty and fresh. On the night we arrived we ask for dinner since we were arriving late. It was a selection of salads/entries and a Tagine. Although quite tasty, we considered it a bit overpriced.
We had complementary bottled water on the room. Highly recomended.

Aesthetically Beautiful, breakfast disappointing

Stayed here as a family of 4, booked 2 seperate rooms. The Riad is beautiful well decorated and maintained with an open communal area that is shared and lively rooftop pool and area, Riad is quite difficult to find for the first time but easy thereafter. The hosts are nice and welcoming and you can enter and exit whenever you want as you are provided with a key. Each room has a lockable safe and is cleaned daily. Coffee and water is chargeable which is not a problem but was not mentioned. The one drawback is the breakfast some bookings it's included but some you have to pay in the region of £20/€23 although the food os well presented it is never worth this price so I would recommend going elsewhere. Youssef is kind and helping but be careful with prices quoted as taxis are cheaper on an app called InDrive. Overall would be happy to return here.
