Lovely stay in the mountains
We had a lovely stay here this summer. On arrival, we were welcomed warmly and offered a welcome drink in the lounge. The kids got juice and immediately started playing board games that were on the shelves. Our apartment was nice and spacious, clean and welcoming. We had two bedrooms. One with a double bed and one with two bunkbeds fitting four people. It was perfect for our family of 6.
The pool was small, but worked fine for the kids. I had a spa treatment which also was nice. Only the teen room was always occupied by yoga classes (free), which is nice if you want to try yoga but not so much if you’re a teen wanting to play.
Included in our stay was the Pryhn-Priel summer activity card. This is a great addition for familiea on vacation! It gives free rides on the gondolas, and many other places in the region.
Some things I wish I knew - I thought the hotel had AC but it doesn’t. Luckily it didn’t get too hot while we were there.
It’s a long, steep drive up to the hotel - so we didn’t really leave the hotel while we were there.
I wish there were lounge chairs or a hammock or similar on the patio.
Bed mattressrs were pretty hard.
We enjoyed the hotel restaurant for breakfast each day and two dinners. The first dinner was put in wrong so my main was missing and all mains arrived at the same time as the appetizers. However when they realized the mistake, they apologized profusely and offered free dessert. The second night was perfect. The food was very tasty. Breakfast was ok, but here I wish the bread was fresher. Everything else was ok.
It was a lovely stay overall, and we’d come again.

Absolute recommendation for a getaway

I had an unforgettable short trip at the Triforêt alpin resort by Falkensteiner and am absolutely thrilled! The location in the middle of nature is simply dreamlike – the perfect place to switch off and recharge your batteries.
My apartment was beautiful, modernly furnished, and thought out down to the smallest detail. You notice immediately how much value is placed on quality and a feel-good atmosphere here. The cleanliness was also impeccable.
The breakfast and the food in general were outstanding – everything fresh, high-quality, and incredibly delicious. I would especially like to highlight the exceptionally friendly and warm service. The entire team was attentive, professional, and ensured that I felt completely comfortable throughout my entire stay.
For me, it was the perfect getaway. I can recommend the Triforêt alpin resort by Falkensteiner without reservation and am already looking forward to my next visit!

Tipi-Chalets - can, but does not have to
These chalets are reminiscent of a tipi tent, are really top furnished and nicely furnished.
We stayed in the luxury chalet which was very spacious, spacious and very clean.
Unfortunately, no extra breakfast service is offered for the chalet guests. Breakfast is provided for all guests (hotel + chalet) in the restaurant.
Since most guests eat breakfast between half past nine and half past 10, it was usually crowded and very busy... The line at the coffee machine was sometimes very long.
Buffet was always impeccably replenished and the restaurant staff were very diligent.
Since we unfortunately had bad weather, I booked a massage to pass the time.
At the booked time I went to the spa reception, with a nod of my head was shown to the room where I was supposed to go, no greeting, no hello or May I ask...
Then the masseur had mumbled something that I didn’t understand, so I asked “Excuse me?”, he meant annoyed what I booked...
I was on it due to his very unfriendly nature and it was my turn to walk again...
But well, take a breath, maybe it will...
At the end of the massage he said, “Bull or Aries?
Really without mooing and mowing, always so chunky...
I said “none of this, I’m Aquarius,” then he said “Ascendant,” then I replied “I don’t know, I don’t really care.”
He then went out wordlessly, held out the bill to me and that was it - no goodbye, no goodbye, Nix...
Normally we always like to tip for services, but I can really only shake my head here...
Maybe there will be a training or briefing for one or the other employee.

Hotel with swabs...
We stayed 6 days as a guest at the Hotel Triforet in Hinterstoder. Reception was fine, everything was explained to you and there was a welcome drink.
Location is great, you can take the cable car down to Hinterstoder, or the chairlift up to Schafskogelsee. From there there are many opportunities for hiking.
We thought it was a shame that we got a room on the ground floor / main entrance with parking view despite previous request for a room on the upper floors. Because there were no normal curtains you had to close the dark curtains, because otherwise everyone could look in the parking lot.
We objected to this and got another room on the first floor the next day. Room very spacious, with kitchenette and dining area. They're more like apartments, because there's no room service either. You have to ask for towels or if you need something, not so 4 stars Like...
The hotel is very clean and as good as new, but kept quite dark, especially the lighting. Wi-Fi available throughout the hotel and very fast.
Beautifully landscaped wellness area with 2 different saunas, a steam sauna and an indoor pool that leads to the outside.
Breakfast as a buffet is okay, but nothing special either. We ate in the restaurant once in the evening, the anticipation was great because the staff performed very professionally. For example, you put the cutlery down with white gloves. We had the burger with wedges, unfortunately that was very disappointing, everything was convenience, Paddy, Bun, Wedges...price performance not good. We find the hotel overrated and would not stay here again, although it is a very nice region for a second visit.
Location is great, you can take the cable car down to Hinterstoder, or the chairlift up to Schafskogelsee. From there there are many opportunities for hiking.

Very nice well maintained resort but without the charm of a public ski hotel.
We stayed at the Triforet in December over the long weekend and were lucky with the weather and the resort was not fully booked.
So there was enough space for good breakfast and spa. Pool is great and the temperature pleasant.
Our apartment was very nice and well maintained. The comments of a review that the beds are too hard is absolutely incomprehensible.
You sleep very well and the beds are perfect for a healthy sleep.
In the restaurant many not good German speaking staff:inside. But they're nice and effortful.
Resort very well maintained. However, at full occupancy certainly not as pleasant as the beginning of the ski season and it does not really have the coziness and charm of an Austrian ski hotel.
The location is great and the view is fantastic.
