Fantastic stay at Moby Dick aperments Benidorm clean rooms good pool, bar under apartment with food, close to the beach and main bars great stay.

Do not stay here
I’ll start with the one positive - the location is ok. However this is where it ends!
On arrival, nobody was there to greet us. We walked into the bar area and were told we’d have to wait 30 mins for the room by the bar lady (not here fault) as the chap that sorts the keys out won’t be ready on time. The chap then messaged my partner trying to further delay checking in time. With 2 young hungry and thirsty kids in toe, we ordered a drink from the bar. We were then informed it was a cash only bar (we’d only bought card). We were then directed to a random woman who until this day I’m unsure if she was the manager of the bar or hotel! As you’d fully expect them to greet you having seen us arrive with suitcases. She then stated unless she was there, we could only pay cash and yet miraculously had a payment option on her phone (which looked very inconspicuous) considering we were still unsure of who she was at this point. Anyway we paid her for that.
The chap then came with our room
Key, he was pleasant and gave us our key. Finally, we thought we could go to our nice room… how wrong we were.
We walked in to room 7D and immediately noticed the bedding hadn’t been cleaned and neither under the bed. The shower head was hanging on by a screw that hadn’t been tightened, and when the shower turned on, it almost came off the wall. We then noticed a cockroach or 2 happily sitting the other side of the toilet, and the dirt in the bathroom was horrendous. The shower tray had looked like it had never been cleaned.
The kids bunkbeds were also very wobbly to add to this! Which brings me to the safety of the room and hotel itself.
The bars by the window were so low, that a child could easily climb over and fall off. The doors leading to these bars were unlockable so we had to remain extra vigilant for the safety of the kids.
Now, the real worry for the hotel and all the guests and staff is that there is NO fire alarm present in the building, which is completely illegal!! We immediately started searching for somewhere else to stay, however, the cost was astronomical for surrounding places so we had little to no choice but to be out as long as possible and as soon as possible.
The pool area was another issue. Unless you bought a sunbed or deck chair with you, you either have to sit on the floor of the poolside or have the ‘luxury’ to sit on one of 2 benches that wouldn’t even suffice to be a memorial bench in a park in the UK. I found this out, as I sat and watched the children in the outside bar chair, I was immediately made to move as I wasn’t ordering anything. The bar had few people in and there were many seats free, so I was rudely moved for no reason.
Having somehow survived this hotel, I’ve never been so happy to wake up at 4AM in the morning to get a flight home.
But it doesn’t stop there, when we got home, the chap had messaged my partner asking for a good review on booking.com. How can you leave a 17 story block with a positive review when they happily take a lot of money to put people at risk when it’s the one time of the year you want to relax the most. I’ll be reporting the hotel to the correct authorities as the place is just an accident waiting to happen.
I’d give this NO stars but that’s not an option.
I really advise anyone going to this hotel to just save a little more to get somewhere better and be assured they are safe and can relax on what should be a nice time.

Dutch not hospitable to strangers
Room was ok for the price.air.con worked well and also the tv and wifi was spot on..only downfall is all the rude Dutch people stood outside the bar all day who are not hospitable to strangers..3 glasses have been smashed so far this week around the pool side bar were plastic should be being used.

Avoid unless you want to be out of pocket
What a huge disappointment. This apartment is nothing like it was advertised.
Before we even got into the apartment, we were charged an extra €30 because our flight was delayed and we didn’t arrive until around 2:00 a.m. We had already paid around £700 for a five-night stay and effectively lost our first night because it was a late flight. Charging guests extra for these circumstances felt completely unreasonable and left a very poor first impression.
The listing states that every bedroom has a fan, but there were none. It also advertises a hairdryer in the bathroom, but there wasn’t one, so I had to go out and buy one. Free Wi-Fi is also advertised, but there was no Wi-Fi at all, meaning we couldn’t keep in touch with family. We did ask these question to the text number we had.
The cleanliness was completely unacceptable. The amount of dust underneath the bed was disgusting, the shower tray looked as though it was covered in rust, the shower window was filthy, and every window in the apartment was dirty. It simply didn’t feel clean.
The kitchen was poorly equipped. The microwave/toaster combination was confusing to use and there were no instructions. There wasn’t even a bottle opener. Although there was an ironing board, the iron’s power cable was only around 30 cm long, so it didn’t even reach the ironing board, making it virtually impossible to use.
Although the apartments are advertised as non-smoking, there was a noticeable smell of cigarette smoke throughout the apartment.
We reported these issues to the man who checked us in, but nothing was done to resolve them.
