Good room, good location and good service.
I usually stay at Hostal La Isla whenever I visit my family in Montijo. Well located near the railway station. With many spaces around to park if you go by car and now they even have a covered garage. The room is spacious, with air conditioning heating, it takes a long time to get hot and start heating the room, it was bad for me because I am prone to colds caused by air conditioners. They have an unusual way of making the bed, they put the blanket on top of the quilt, but it is warm enough to be able to turn off the air at night. Good bathroom with shower tray and liquid soap in the shower. It doesn't have a bidet.
It has a cafeteria and restaurant where they serve breakfast, midday meals and dinner. In winter the typical breakfast is Migas Extremadura, which are vegan, fried with EVOO and with garlic and peppers, ideal to accompany with a freshly squeezed orange juice and a cup of milk with cocoa, they do not have vegetable milks (soy, oats) but yes lactose-free milk. You can also have a good toast of village bread with tomato and EVOO for breakfast. For lunches and dinners the menu is portions and combined dishes, with some vegan options such as mushroom croquettes that are delicious.
Affordable prices and the service is good.

Antiprofesional!!
Después de reservar por teléfono y tras una hora de viaje, cuando llego al hotel me dice que el DNI está deteriorado y que no me dan alojamiento!!! dicho DNI me lo aceptan en todos los hoteles, en el banco y en todas las instituciones!!!!!no obstante tengo el carnet de conducir!!!! los señores por llamarlos de alguna forma no contentos se muestran de forma chulesca!!!! soy hostelero con veinticinco años de experiencia y jamás ví algo semejante!!!!es inaceptable que individuos con tan poca profesionalidad lleven negocios de cara al público!!!!. trato de vergüenza!!!!!ojo sí venís a éste sitio!!

TRATO MAGNÍFICO, HABITACIONES CÓMODAS, BUEN RESTAURANTE
Me suelo quedar en este alojamiento desde hace varios años siempre que voy a Montijo. Las habitaciones son amplias, bien acondicionadas y con buenos baños. Suelo desayunar en la zona de cafetería, recomiendo las migas extremeñas que son veganas. Al menos una vez en cada visita invito a mi familia a comer en el restaurante. Suele estar poco concurido lo que es bueno porque somos una familia un poco ruidosa cuando nos juntamos y allí nos encontramos muy a gusto. Buena cocina y buena presentación de los platos. No hay muchas opciones vegetarianas en carta pero siempre me hacen algún arreglo, como es cocina casera y al momento se adptan a las necesidades de la clientela. Tanto el dueño como los empleados son amables, respetuosos, cariñosos y eficientes.
Por otro lado está situado cerca de la estación de ferrocarril, a unos 10 minutos caminando. Desde el hostal se pueden hacer buenos paseos extrarradios para visitar la estación, la electroharinera, el parque municipal o pasear junto al canal. Buenos aparcamientos cercanos incluso para grandes camiones.

Fatal trato del hijo del dueño
Me quede en estancia y el hijo del dueño principalmente me trata mal, me mira mal y su trato es nulo ya habiendo hospedado varias veces alli. Llaml y dice que tiene camas pero ue no me la da por que no le da la gana. No me dan hojas de reclamaciones por que no quieren.

Decente
Un Hostal que tiene buena ubicación ya que está cerca de Merida o Badajoz. Está lejos del centro del pueblo y los precios de las habitaciones son algo elevados para ser un hostal y la zona donde está. En sí, las habitaciones no son muy grandes pero la tv y la wifi van bien. Han cambiado recientemente los colchones y depende qué habitación tengas, tienes ducha nueva o vieja. Por las mañanas el servicio de limpieza mete bastante ruido, por lo que si vas a descansar por tema de trabajo llegando de madrugada, es fácil que te despierten. La calefacción, aunque es bomba de calor individual, la activa el dueño cuando quiere, así que por mucho que quieras, no funciona si no la activan. Recomendable si es de paso y para dormir por la noche.
