First of all, Phetchaburi is a quaint city that inspires the heart and mind. There are many cool sites to visit that are near each other. The Sun Hotel is situated perfectly in relation to those sites, especially the palace and giant stupa atop the hill that overlooks the city. Also, the staff are helpful and the room was clean. Stay here!

The room was nice and clean.
Unfortunately, it is next to the road, and I could hear the cars through the night.
Internet cut-off totally on my second/last day.

Not bad.

Hotel is older with some wear and tear, but it is kept quite clean and staff are friendly and accommodating. Not sure how it compares to other places in town, would possibly stay again.
Location is convenient, a restaurant with decent options is located next door.

The maid can be rude. She sprayed copious amounts of disinfectant spray in my room, but not other rooms. It made me feel discrimination and seemed to imply that foreign people stink.
I was having plumbing trouble at home so I rented a room for a week so I would have a place to shower. So it's not like I had stinky dirty clothes or durian in the room.
I would come in the morning and shower then leave again. That particular day I had additional appointment so I returned to the room to take an extra shower. The room was so full of disinfectant spray that a window had to be opened.
I had only been gone 3 hours.
That was incredibly rude, childish, and very racist.
