A real moment of sharing around a very good family kitchen

We made a 3 night stopover in Kandy with family.
I particularly recommend this hotel as the sites are accessible. 5 min walk from the lake. 10 min walk to the sacred temple of the Buddha tooth.
The rooms are very clean, air conditioned, comfortable and with a nice view. The alarm clock is made with birds as well as the national anthem of the girls' school right next door.
Very warm welcome from our guests. Our children were able to do a cooking class and prepare dinner.
We were able to dine on site in the evening, local and family cuisine.Our hosts were good advice for our visits, booked us tickets for the dance show. A real moment of sharing and exchanges with a lovely family.

acceptable accommodation, bedding needs improvement.

The rooms in Janora Hills are of a good size, the bed was comfortable and the pillow was soft. However there were holes/ tears in the sheet and pillow case. Our bin in the bathroom had not been emptied and still had the previous guests rubbish plus the bathroom window seals had not been cleaned very well. The staff were extremely friendly. Kettle and cups provided in the room for making tea and coffee, but they will charge you for having small portion of milk. Having had a poor experience with a PickMe driver we used the mini bus driver located outside of the guesthouse Roy Kumare Tours and can recommend him for any requests you have, he drove us to Mirissa which is a long journey, his driving was calm and we felt safe.

Great location, comfortable room, attentive staff, covered parking.

We were traveling around Sri Lanka by car and we needed not only a comfortable room with a good location, but also a normal entrance to the hotel, when we didn’t have to wander through narrow streets for a long time, parking was also important. In this wonderful hotel we got everything at once. The hotel is in an excellent location, within walking distance of the Temple of the Tooth Relic, the city lake, and the Kandy City Center shopping center. The room is spacious, quiet, comfortable, very comfortable bed, good bathroom, high-quality furniture in excellent condition, views of the city and lake, very friendly staff, covered parking and normal access to the hotel. We were warned that the door to the balcony should be kept closed, there were nimble monkeys operating there, we saw them and watched them several times. The common hallway has a large table, chairs and a refrigerator. The room has a kettle, cups, 2 armchairs, a table, everything so that you can organize a small breakfast in the morning before an early departure. There is a restaurant on the top floor, unfortunately it was not possible to use it due to lack of time. I really liked our choice and recommend this hotel.

Great place to stay for family with young children

Great place for family with young children
I been to this hotel twice and the last was December 2023. This is a great place for family. Triple rooms are very spaces and has 2 comfortable beds , coffee table and chairs. It all has small balcony looking towards hill side. Rooms and bathrooms are very clean . Location is quiet and very close to the kandy city area and short walks to kandy lake. Access to the location is also easy.
Food alos available on request and food also nice.
This hotel is great value for money and highly recommended.

The rooms are lovely, clean and equipped with everything you need.
A great location with some nice restaurants around, close to the lake and only a 10 minute stroll into the city centre - perfect!
Wonderful service from both the owners as well as Keeth who looks after the front desk.
