A lovely oasis in Kandy

Exhausted after a long and crowded bus trip from Dambulla and the chaos of Kandy, arriving at The Peppermint was exactly what we needed. Lovely and peaceful.
We spent two relaxing days at The Peppermint with Pringi and her family. The multi story house is at the end of road which means no non stop traffic, one side of the house is surrounded by trees and they have a fabulous large, covered balcony on the top floor that we spent the entire afternoon on.
But my favourite part was the food. Pringi treated us to delicious Sri Lankan fare - the breakfast was so good that we elected to stay in for dinner rather than go to town and I will be dreaming of her chicken curry for a long time to come.
Pringi is a fabulous hostess, friendly, helpful and inviting - I miss our chats!

One night in Kandy

The Peppermint is a very nice place to stay, it offers you a quiet, clean and lovely place with a familiar atmosphere to a absolutely fair price. The hosts are very friendly and helpful, if we come back we will definitely stay here again. Ms. Pringi is a very very lovely woman with a genuine smile all the time. We give . Thank you!

A fun trip

After a long tiring train journey from Colombo, it was nice to find a quiet and homely abode. The hostess is very friendly and full of good advice. The room.is comfortable. It is a bit far from the centre of a busy and buzzing town but it is quiet.. til you get woken up by a moto at 0530 am.

Relaxing close to Kandy

Two enjoyable days in a secluded location. Delicious breakfasts and dinners prepared to our taste (Vegan option) and chances to try different Sri Lankan dishes. Some of the fastest Wifi in Kandy. Husband and Wife friendly, helped arrange our sightseeing, very caring. Trip Advisor has the location on the map wrong (working to fix this). It is at the end of Riverdale Gardens Road. Pringi was proactive alerting us to the exact location. It is a bit remote so walking in rainy season was not an option for us, but Tuktuks were easily arranged.

Very nice guest house in Kandy

My family of 5 adults enjoyed our 1 night stay here. Pringi and her husband went out of their way to welcome us as guests in their lovely home. Our driver actually got lost trying to find The Peppermint so Pringi's husband drove out to meet us and escort us back to the house. Our rooms were very clean, comfortable and spacious. There is a lovely balcony on the 2nd floor if you want to enjoy the fresh air. Pringi made us a wonderful dinner and breakfast ($4 each) which was good value. We only stayed 1 night but could easily spend longer. Highly recommend this place.
