Residence Tabor ligt in een wijk van Zizkov die steeds populairder wordt. Het hotel is mooi ingericht en heeft uitstekende verbindingen met alle monumenten. De kamers zijn scherp geprijsd.

Reception was in another hotel nearby which was a bit unexpected surprise for a tired body after a long travel. There was a small fridge in the room which would have been convenient but it made a loud boost noise a few times during the night to which I woke up. Also the (shower?) noise from the upstairs room was also quite loud.
Breakfast was very satisfactory with a lot of choices.
One other thing, the showerhead holder was angles such way that no matter how you try, only a weak water pressure was allowed otherwise the water would arch above the shower panels and bathroom would be flooded.

Unfortunately, I did not enjoy my stay at TÁBOR. When we walked into our room, I was genuinely shocked by how old and outdated everything looked. There was even a hole in the blanket, and the kettle and microwave looked like they had travelled from the 1960s.
Breakfast was included, but unfortunately it was also disappointing. There was a very unpleasant smell in the breakfast room that we simply could not tolerate, so we had to sit outside every morning.
The whole building also did not feel very safe. The rooms were opened with old-style keys, which made us uncomfortable, and we felt we had to carry all our valuables with us whenever we went out.
The night receptionist was also very unprofessional. When we arrived, he asked for our passports. As I have two passports, I wanted to quickly check them myself before handing them over. Instead, he raised his voice, grabbed them from my partner’s hand, and loudly said, “I can check it!”
If it hadn’t been the middle of the night, I would have left immediately and never looked back.

Nice friendly hotel with good transport links
The bedroom was a good size along with the bathroom which was well equipped with a decent size shower with consent hot water which was very welcoming after a long day roaming around the Prague sites. Breakfast was adequate and was slightly varied everyday which was nice and the surroundings were kept very clean. The only issue was that it was in the main building (Golden City Hotel) which was across the busy street full of trams which may not be so pleasant when its raining. Transport into the city is easy with the trams system, the best I have ever come across. Overall the staff were very pleasant and helpful at all times and even with the little odd things likr crossing the road for breakfast I would stay here again
