Serdika

Serdika ligt in de wijk Sofia (centrum) in Sofia. Voor wat culturele hoogtepunten maak je een uitstap naar Nationale Opera en Ballet en Nationale Kunstgalerij en een aantal bezienswaardigheden die je in de omgeving kunt ontdekken zijn onder andere Vasil Levski-monument en Gele Klinkerweg. Borisova Gradina-park en Nationaal Paleis van Cultuur zijn ook zeker het bezoeken waard. Dit hotel beschikt over een bar/lounge en een koffiebar/café. In Serdika heeft elke kamer een televisie.

A GREAT Hotel

Great Hotel, close to downtown , tourist places and public transport , is new, efficient, perfect if you love cleanliness, efficiency and a great breakfast in the morning. Very friendly and hospitable staff, Mrs. Maria prepares impeccable rooms, at the Reception you receive all possible information. A great choice, for the perfect stay. Highly recommended

A blast from the past with dirt included

We booked this room for 4 nights , from 2 to 5 May 2026.The only really positive thing and 'the location, which is 100 MT from Serdika metro station.For the rest of the room number 3 and' a disaster without comparison.The structure and dilapidated, the room had the ceilings full of stains from previous infiltrations, the bathroom and' a sort of closet with a peeling wallpaper.One of the two single beds had the mattress broken through, and dust reigned everywhere.There was even a chewingum stuck to the wall as well as sockets of the correct dangerous.No soap or shampoo is put and we had to request larger towels for the shower because they provide 3 small ones.And despite being in 2 they brought us only one.I strongly advise against this structure especially for families with young children.

Would not recommend

I just spent over a week in Bulgaria in a number of different hotels, apartments and guest houses, and WOULD NOT recommend Hotel Serdika. The rooms are small and uncomfortable and do not offer good value for the money--and be prepared to pay more than what is advertised online. It is possible to rent an apartment in the center of Sofia for less than a room at Serdika that offers many more amenities (such as air conditioning, a washing machine, double beds). The customer service at Serdika is lacking at best, and was usually downright rude. Guide books warn Westerners about being ripped off at every turn in Eastern Europe and thought it happened nowhere else in Bulgaria, it certainly did at Serdika. The staff arranged a taxi for us to the airport, which we were told would cost 10 lev, and the taxi driver drove off without giving us change for 20 lev--the only time that has ever happened to me and Serdika SHOULD NOT be arranging such transport for their guests. Overall, my experience with the accomodations, service, and people in Bulgaria was wonderful with the glaring exception of my stay at Hotel Serdika. I would absolutely not recommend it. Despite the central location, the rooms, price, and service in no way live up to its "3 Star" rating.

3* hotel in good central location close to cathedral

I have just come back from a couple of days in Bulgaria and stayed for one night at the Hotel Serdika in Sofia. The hotel is located very close to the city Cathedral and University and within 10 mins pleasant walk of the shops. There are some good local (and cheap) restaurants close by and it is very convenient for a taxi ride to/from the airport which takes 20 mins and cost me about £5 (13 lev). The hotel room was clean and comfortable with a good shower, television with 80+ channels and comfortable beds. No view to speak of from my room. Breakfast was the normal continental selection.
A typical 3* hotel and would have no hesitation staying there again.
